Virgo Solar Eclipse and New Moon

We will experience a Solar Eclipse in Virgo on Thursday, September 1st at 2:03 a.m Pacific time. A Lunar Eclipse is like a Full Moon on steroids. A Solar Eclipse is like a Super New Moon, the effects of which ripple up to 6 mos out, and some say even longer.

This Solar Eclipse New Moon makes 5 prominent aspect patterns but I’m gonna focus on one. The Saturn-Neptune Square we have been talking endlessly about, now with Mars in the mix (which I actually love!). This Saturn-Neptune Square started last October 2015 and because it is the focal point of this Solar Eclipse, it will continue to resonate up to another year.

Refresher: Virgo is the temple virgin/whore and is all about details/service/health. She’s a fixer. Neptune is spirit. Both have healing properties. Saturn is the Lord of Karma and Time, and embodies maturity, responsibility and everything grown up. Mars is Action.

Ways this can play out: Total escapism via drugs/sex/food/fantasy world and Saturn consequences with your health. OR you can have your divine (Neptune) connection enhanced via body-as-temple practices and getting grounded in your philosophies via ancient learning, sacred texts and the positive influences of foreign cultures and offering what you’ve learned in the form of sacred service.

Throw your house system into the mix by doing a quick chart for yourself over at astro.com and take a look at where the eclipse is happening for you by grokking where the set up is. Where is the house ruled by Virgo/Sagittarius/Pisces? The Eclipse is happening on the Virgo/Pisces axis. Neptune is in Pisces right now and Saturn and Mars are in Sag, so just a quick glance by even the most novice astro student will give you some insight.  Don’t worry about being right, just let your intuition guide you.

Remember, every reboot is an upgrade, even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time. Cheers to new beginnings!
